No, no, no, y'all are wrong.  It's really Nelly that both PM Dawn *and* Spandau Ballet ripped off.

everyone need to get over to FB to see the hilarious duel between the ironists and the cluelessists. Oy.
To be fair to Jose, his literal reading of almost everything is probably due to his ESL status. I don't know what The Rock Guru's excuse is, though . . .

My thoughts exactly, except I'd BOS the Ultravox, Spandau Ballet, and maybe Grandmaster Melle Mel. VHM to EC; great song but I've heard it plenty. The only two songs I would have replaced are the Motels and ZZTop. In this day and age, I'd say that's a win.
Let's get right to it.

I just listened to the set and really enjoyed it   I had that Ultravox album on cassette.   *high five*

I would have replaced the Femmes and Elvis, although I have to say his background singers and the plinky piano sound fantastic.  It's his own voice which sometimes grates.

And I like the rumpled Martha Davis; I saw her at the Marin County Fair -- no, she's not a carny now, she was perf'g at the fantabulous main stage.  *fist bump*

The Belle Starts singer sounds a little like the singer from Propaganda.  Liked that one a lot, too.

Jenny from The Belle Stars sang backup on The Jam's "Bitterest Pill (I Ever Had to Swallow)".  True factoid!
