The first song was very KFOG, but she's stretching out a bit with this French electronica.

this is French?  how do you know?

I do! And I applaud the appearance of the Lips, but I don't like this song. It really highlights the vocal weakness of Mr. Coyne, not to mention some really lame lyrics. I like the music and instrumentation, though.

she never misses an opportunity to play Mr Grohl.  Sorry, nothing I'm reading here makes me sorry I passed on this one.

When I saw 2002 I thought, "ugh," but it sounded pretty good to me.  I guess I'm not wearing my crankypants today after all  *looks down* -- in fact, I'm not wearing ANY pants!  weeeee!

re-listening to the set we just heard:  The Doves singer sounds a lot like Chris Martin as the song progresses.

BOS for Doves. So far I've heard two RadioParadise songs that I've never heard on the radio anywhere. Good on AL for pulling these out. The electronica song was Télépopmusik.

Wow, sorry I missed this one. They were big on my hit list for that time period; kind of fallen out of sight since then. Great visuals at their shows. Props to AL for pulling this out.

(Yeah, they do sort of have that Radiohead/Coldplay/Snow Patrol/Arctic Monkeys britpop sound about them. )
Let's get right to it.

Naw, man, this was Annalisa unleashed today. Maybe the Menace has settled in a bit and doesn't feel the need to micromanage as much.

I wouldn't go that far. A couple of bustouts mixed in with frequent-fliers (Moby, Beck) and KFOG playlist "hits" (Santana and Petty) don't exactly translate as "unleashed" to me.  ;)
