Good riddance.  I ate these once at the SF Zoo and it tasted like frozen NERDS, I swear.  My kid didn't even like 'em, so you know they're foul.

NY mag gave this story a despicable/lowbrow rating on its Approval Matrix.  Agreed!

I never ate them, they looked weird and seemed to be a big ripofff.  I only saw them at carnivals and fairs, where prices are inflated anyway, but I thought "cheap ice cream has enough air in it already without making the ice cream into little beads that allow even more air to be part of what is sold." 

That's right, I was pulling out some half-assed physics to justify my cheap-skatedness.
