I saw this on the upcoming list, then jon mayer
this isn't Jon Mayer
worse, it's Yanni leading a munch of Québécois mimes through an enchanted forest
Just for the record, what is the title of the Enigma track?

It's a riddle wrapped in a puzzle to me.  in other words, I don't know.
If tantric sex had a song, this would be it!

Oh man, not Midnight Oil again!

I don't get the hate for this one, apart from its ubiquitousness (?). I like it. And I like the Black Coffee->Black Velvet segue.  If only we could hear Black Coffee in Bed, but that ain't 90s.

BOS2 "This Is How It Feels"- Inspiral Carpets!!!!!!!!

Clint Boon (the keyboardist) is the afternoon DJ for XFM in Manchester.  A great one, at that.

I never quite got the hoopla over Everything But The Girl.

WOS1 Queensryche.  Eh, I guess it's a "silent/silence" twin-spin.

Once again we are on the same page, baby! Never liked that one, and Dave played it often for some odd reason.

Glad I missed this thing -- quite sheesh-worthy from what I'm reading here.

11/07/11 - Monday! Enjoy The Sounds of 1990!

 1. Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence
(Movie: Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead - Word Volleyball)
 2. Queensryche - Silent Lucidity
 3. Enigma - Sadeness (Part I) (B.O.S!)
(News: Nelson Mandela celebrates his release from prison)
 4. Paul Simon - The Obvious Child
 5. Midnight Oil - Blue Sky Mine
(TV: SNL - Wayne's World - Tom Hanks as Aerosmith roadie)
 6. Aerosmith - What It Takes
(TV: Twin Peaks - The little secret: A great cup of black coffee!)
 7. Alannah Myles - Black Velvet
(TV: Twin Peaks - More black coffee)
 8. Inspiral Carpets - This Is How It Feels
 9. Everything But the Girl - Driving

10. Snap! - The Power

uninspired as this was, it appears #s 8 and 9 were bustouts.

Is this the same set that everyone was hating on?  :o  Have to catch the replay but it looks like it's among my top ~4% of 10 @ 10's.  Something for everyone (Depeche Mode, Snap, Paul Simon, Aerosmith, Inspiral Carpets, EBTG, and Enigma -- can't say that's not diverse) & thrilled to see not only both of the songs I +1'd appear, but also the song I requested at least a half dozen times for 1991 sets (up to now to no avail) to not only finally appear, but also get BOS!  ;D

Kudos for getting a request but too many frequent-fliers there (granted, some from the Dave, not the AL era, but still).  Again, these '90s sets are about expectation for me: if there's a ton of interesting requests and most are ignored in favor of stuff like "Black Velvet"...

ETA: I'd've sworn Dave played Enigma at least once , but apparently not. So that's another bustout.

BOS to Snap and the Inspiral Carpets (and if she ever plays "Smoking Her Clothes" I'll give it BOW).

"Driving" is a Tier 2 sledgehammer for me.

Least Necessary: DM, Midnight Oil
