WOS FYC -- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Something to get my snark on, and agree with Mike, although I always liked the way the guitar player danced!

I'm giving a WOS to War of the Roses, cause I really didn't like it. Such a mean-spirited movie with bleak ending.

which is exactly why I *did* like it. ;)

she alternates between this and "Good Thing", I think. And I *loved* this LP in '89. But I also love their earlier stuff which we rarely hear.

one last FB zinger: JF needs to cut it out with the stars. I feel like I got hit in the head with a mallet in a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

she's played a few songs the clueless of us have no idea about, which should make some very happy.  If a song gets played you don't like, let's see if we can restrict the put downs to the song itself, and not to the people that like the song?  There's a line between entertaining snark and personal negativity IMHO.

I agree with that.

Apart from Kravitz and FYC (and even there, at least it wasn't "Good Thing"), this is a thankfully non-Katrina set. "The Look" has been on before, but not for a very long time. Could DC be easing off a little?

Along with XTC and The Cure, although "Fascination Street" is a song I could never get sick of.  (Admittedly, so is "She Drives Me Crazy."  :-X )

Good point about DC possibly easing up.  I've noticed that too.  We have 2 good-as-any-for-their-year sets in a row.  I guess if the rarities keep on getting BOS, he can't ignore that.  Also, while I don't deny that there's been more mainstream tracks appearances, it may have seemed worse than it was; since AL's been doing 10@10 for a few years now -- I'm sure that she, like Dave, has her favorites & after awhile more repeats are bound to happen.

I've been thinking that too. Seems like she's being given a little more latitude for creative song selection over the last week or so. And the segues have been bordering on brilliant, as always.

Finally got home from what was a very very long day about an hour ago. Fed the animals, put the cheese into the fridge, and am now sitting back listening to today's replay and having dinner: a nice plate of spaghetti with sausage and peppers, and a healthy pour of pinot noir.

ETA: That Dramarama song provided an ideal opportunity to go replenish the aforementioned pinot. Sorry, but that song didn't do it for me. Sorta Bryan Adams redux.
