The Peak week of 10/3/11

Mon 10/3/11: 1967!

Sorry I missed Miss Gentry; BOS the Move's "Flowers in the Rain"; shame on Rob for succumbing to "Brown Eyed Girl".

Ree-Ree's shawl is in the lost-n-found; Rob saves up all his bread and flies Trans-Love Airways to a warm San Franciscan Night -- and this set goes to 11.

eek. "Love Shack", "Love in an Elevator"... talk about Mixed Emotions.

But BOS the Primitives *other* hit, "Sick of It".

BOS2 Drugstore Cowboy.

WOS Petty's "Love Is a Long Road".

BOSD3 Camper Van Matchstickman.

Rob plays "Everything is Broken", even tho' he doesn't have earthquake clips for a segue.

OMFG: "Deteriorata"!!  uber-BOS and proxy of Morey. "know what to kiss... and when"

Rob also played ELP, the 'Berries, Arlo G, Curtis M, Mott, and Rod.

Wow: a set that began with ELP's "From the Beginning" ends with Yes' "And You & I" -- DUDE, it's prog twice!

Thur 10/6/11: 1996

yeesh: Sheryl 'Ho, Wallflowers, Sublime. And I feel like I've heard Cake's "The Distance" a hundred times this month.

OTOH, I don't remember Better Than Ezra's "King of New Orleans". Eeek: Soundgarden.

ETA, post-10@10: I thought I'd heard enuf REM this past week but "E-Bow The Letter" is a welcome rarity this morning.
