Has "Big Love" ever made an appearance here? If not, that needs to change.

Wow, so many good albums on my 1987 list:

Pixies: Come on Pilgrim
Depeche Mode: Music for the Masses
REM: Document (but a better song like "Finest Worksong")
Young Fresh Fellows: Men Who Loved Music

And yes, Joshua Tree, which is certain to make an appearance. How about "One Tree Hill" for a change? Also, frequent Dave Morey flyer "Strange Advance".

I may have to register for FB just to make recommendations. I don't use it otherwise.

am I hearing some Depeche Mode?  and it doesn't sound like StrangeLove.  may be a BOS for me, along with the BREAKOUT.

Is it "Never Let Me Down Again"? It goes "I'm taking a ride with my best friend"

Who is this? Sounds like Bowie Bauhaus. Hey now, I've never heard this before.

I 'know" the song, but had to look up the specifics:  Sisters Of Mercy - The Corrosion

Hmm, I was just thinking that I don't usually mind JM and the Cougars all that much, but this one annoys the crap out of me.  Must be the accordian.  That's not what I call rocknroll.

BOS for Depeche Mode and Sisters of Mercy. WOS Mellencamp and Sting.

Overall, not a bad set. At least it was somewhat different than other 1987 sets (no Crowded House, yay!)

yes, it's treacly, schmaltzy, jingo-istic, faux folk-rock, but I like it. :)
