VVHM to Broooce, "Trapped."  Gonna be hard to top this.  Was it the B-side of one of the "Born in the USA" singles?

BOS for me -- it's from "USA for Africa" isn't it? which puts it in the wrong year unless it was a B-side.

wrong year, never a B-side:

per AMG: Similarly, Bruce Springsteen's moody, atmospheric cover of Jimmy Cliff's "Trapped" is available only on this collection.

well, we KNOW how Dave hates to be "busted" for inaccuracy...

ah, the inevitable Purple Rain visitation. The purple one indulges his Christ complex.

BOS to "I Would Die 4 U," because no one's written lyrics like this since Prince's heyday.  And that relentless percuss-a-shake is a nice touch.

WOS = Cars.

very up & down set so far.  Hoping for one more 'up' before I have to hightail it outta here.

"I Would Die 4 U" qualifies as an 'up' in my book.  I suppose it would have been 2 much 2 ask 4 for Dave to double dip from the We Are The World disc & give us Prince's "4 the Tears In Your Eyes".

ETA, of course that would have meant two songs from 1985 in an '84 set.

gotta go, have fun.  I'll listen to the next couple of tunes in my car.
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

It's still more Billy Idol -- you'd think he'd died or something.

BOS Shooting Shark. Not quite the novelty it was a few months ago, but nevertheless...
Let's get right to it.

It's worse- he's got a new CD coming out.

Just kidding! I love Billy Idol. But, he does have a new CD coming out.

Dave seems to have stumbled into a cache of BBC archive clips.
Let's get right to it.

Replacement BOS vote to the Style Council's "Ever-Changing Moods."  Oh, how I wish there were a space on radio today for sophistipop.

Ditto that Style Council BOS..

Probably gonna be seeing less of me - as our company is cracking down on "unapproved software" which includes any kind of iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc. I'll be reported to upper management. There's a Dilbert strip in here somewhere
Sucks!

I'm the Lone Mac in our PC network, so I have some leeway, but not much!

What complete BS. If my company did that, there'd be mass mutiny.
Let's get right to it.
