holy god, Phil Hartman and Chris Farley were gifts.

No doubt about Hartman. Farley was outstanding as Matt Foley and a few others, but didn't have anywhere near Hartman's range.

Both died within about six months of each other. It was disturbing how much more effort was given to commenorate Farley's life.

BOS Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town.  I'm not a big PJ fan beyond their hits, so I realize this one might seem overplayed by their fanx, but I was sooo glad they played it when I saw them at Bridge School several years ago

Agreed.  Hartman was awesome, the real deal (Bill McNiel).  Farley I could take or leave, depending.

Ditto. I've been trying to find a video of the one where he (Hartman) and his family move into the haunted house, and he's on the phone, saying, "The realtor LIED! The house is NOT fine!" There's just something about the way he delivered that line that makes me crack up just thinking about it.

I clicked with Chris Farley.  Tommy Boy, esp.

He was a creep and a weirdo, and he didn't have a perfect body or soul, but he was so f****** special.

So, Mike's taking the day off, and someone has to fill the snark quotient?

I really like UB40's "Can't Help Falling in Love."  Just thought I'd share that before the slagging starts!

me, too.  I usually hate it when non-Jamaicans try reggae, but they get a pass.

I know there will be some slagging of Izzy and Somewhere Over The Rainbow. (from Mike, that is)  :)
