RIP the Chelsea Hotel

Celebrated in song and story, NY's Chelsea Hotel is closing, supposedly to be turned into a luxury hotel and/or condos.

I usually stay just a few doors down at the Chelsea Savoy, where the sun pours down like butterscotch.
