Mon 8/8/11: 1976

inevitable Frampton, War and BOC surrounded by JS, "With Your Love" and da Stones, "Hand of fate".  BOS BJ's always-lovely "Summer Highland Falls"; BOS2 Graham Parker, "Don't Ask Me Questions" and VHM The Modern Lovers, "Roadrunner".

eek. Spin Docs, Crowes, DelAmitri, INXS.

trailer for League of Their Own -- "there's no crying in baseball!" -- shoulda been followed by the Madonna tune. Instead we get Annie L walking on broken 'trinas.  Then U2 "...Real Thing" and "Dylsexic Haert"

Sorry I missed Lords of the New Church, "Open your Eyes" -- def a BOS. Glad I missed APP, Men at Work, Genesis, Stray Cats...

VHM Mr Browne, "Somebody's Baby"

"Doo yoo heah mee? Doo yoo cayuh?"  what ARE words faw? Without Ms Bozzio, there'd've been no Gwen Stefani.

Percy's burning down one side. One side of what?

Thur 8/11/11: 1970!

Please don't dominate the rap, jack. Some usual suspects (CSNY, Mungo Jerry, Tempts, Traffic, CCR) but the Dead's "New Speedway Boogie" gets a BOS.

Holee crap: the 'oo with a rarity, "Heaven And Hell" -- BOS2. (it was the B-side of the "Summertime Blues" 45)

There is a Smiths song that never goes out. BOS. David & David, PG, INXS yadda yadda.

Winwood's "Split Decision" is at least a rarity.

uber-BOS2 Human League's "Human" -- another #1 single you rarely hear these days. Does Lite-FM even spin this one anymore?

Smithereens "Blood and Trinas" followed by JCM in a rumble seat.

BOS3 REM "Fall on Me", even if it isn't about what everybody thinks it's about.

Surprising BOS4: Dylan's "Brownsville Girl", another rarely-heard track.
