The looooooong version.  Not that there's a short version.  But it's amazing that Bob is playing an 11 minute (as I recall) song in the set...

BOS.

I tried to get that in before you -- I'm a little slow this morning.

not sure if I've posted this tale before, but I know I have spoken of it in person to Gaz:

There's a light rock/jazz trio in St. Louis composed of two brothers and a drummer, the two brothers being good Lutheran lads whose pastor/missionary father is good friends with my pastor father.  Peter & Jim Mayer, their band was called PM after Peter's initials.  My mom catered both of their weddings with me as her assisitant.  Some 12 or more years ago they got tabbed to be Coral Reefers, and for the past decade or so Peter has been Jimmy's musical director, assigned with all the arranging of songs, etc.

But even more interestingly, sometime before they hooked up with Buffett they had decided to try being a quartet & brought in a promising young female vocalist, recently graduated from Mizzou (aka U of Missouri).  She sang with them for just over a year and then went to L.A. to seek greater fortune, which she attained rather quickly.  You may have heard of her, she's in France at the moment with her boyfriend.  He's kind of famous, too.
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."
