Especially for the Gaz-man, and his current avatar -- but really, everyone shoul enjoy this one...

A random choice, but a correct one!

"Prickly City" is NTM -- seems like every new comic strip is a cheap knockoff of Doonesbury/Bloom County/Boondocks.
Which I always thought were descendants of Dan O'Neill's Odd Bodkins

Wow -- has Garry Trudeau ever acknowledged O'Neill as an influence?

Hadn't thought of Odd Bodkins in years. I remember it running daily in the Chron in the late 60s & early 70s.
Let's get right to it.

several people have sent this one to me; it's quite popular. But -- irony of ironies -- neither my work nor home computer supports the latest version of Flash, so I can't watch it!

How old are those computers?? I have a 5 year old computer and, while a bit slow, the latest Flash does work for me.

LOL.

I bought a bootleg copy of the Monkees' forgotten TV special 33 1/3 Revolutions Per Monkee that included of-its-time-literally commercials.  One of which was for Hai Karate.  Was that shit for real?  Or has it always been a punching-bag punchline?

I loved Hai Karate. Very sweet/musky scent (I still prefer such scents to this day). Got a hai karate gift set for Xmas '73 that lasted me for years.
