That's genius, especially the Romeo Void line.  But I wonder why he went with QR instead of Slade?

Cluelessness? Or more likely, he figured a significant portion of his readers might be.
Let's get right to it.

my favorite is the Prince line.

This thread reminds me that I really should have become a McSweeney's reader.  Never found the time, often forgot they existed.

Cue "Twilight Zone" theme...

even creepier since mshray hasn't posted on it yet! maybe he can't see it...

so that doppelgänger is to blame for my back trouble!

I see the resemblance but it's not nearly so strinking to me (and I can look into a mirror while I type this to doublecheck), he does kinda have my crooked nose though, but mine goes the opposite way.  Needs more gray hair.

but look at that smile!!

Had to share today's Dilbert.  If you can't laugh at yourselves, then who can you laugh at?

BWAHAHAHA!

Yes, folks, this is the kind of stuff I point out for a living.  Duly forwarded to the TIME staff and a few other friends.

"River" is new to me.  But a "widow" is when a single word spills onto the next line or the next page in a paragraph of text.  We try to avoid them for aesthetic reasons (I've never seen the big deal, myself).

Yeah, I confess "river" is not a term I've run across much either. Like, ever. I suspect it's more graphic slang than text-related.

I don't have a problem with a widow that breaks to another line, unless, as Gaz mentioned, it goes to another page, or jumps below some art or other graphic element. Then, not so good.

sounds pretty amusing, tho' "Confederate States of America" kinda beat them to the mock-Ken Burns punch.

There's a pretty clever hed on the SFGate front door right now, in the lead position. It's an article about how Treasury Secty. Henry Paulson wants to abolish the penny. The hed:
