Is that a Firesign reference? I vaguely remember one of my friends quoting it ad nauseam in about the 6th grade. And which came first--Rocky Raccoon or the sketch in question?
Let's get right to it.

Yes, it's from Nick Danger, from their second album.  And yes, we (ST fans) can be quite obnoxious about the surreal riffing. The Beatles came first.  After more than 30 years, I'm still warped.

I wondered if it was Beck, since he was on Barabajagal (sp?).  Wrong Yardbird I guess.  Source of trivia?

Just the arcana that I've accumulated over the years. Not sure where I first learned that.

Ah, here's your Jeff Beck. BOS2 Morning Dew.
Let's get right to it.

I talked the Boy's Dean into letting me play this over PA during the caucus of a model convention in our auditorium!

Bonus track: after teasingly mentioning "Delilah" and "Harper Valley PTA", Annalisa gives us Sly, "Dance to the Music".

Time for CGSS!

BOS1, Quicksilver Pride of Man. Second virtuoso guitarist of set, too--Cippolina ruled.

We've done  this in my church band, but not quite this good!

Ho. Ly. Shit.

This song sounds SO much better Friday night 1:10am.

How did I miss its greatness last time, when Dave introduced me to the song?

I had never heard "Pride of Man" (to my knowledge) before a few months or so ago.  If memory serves, Dave had included it in a tribute set to SF artists (but I could be mistaken).
