AL gets her Goth on with a deep cut from The Cure.  (Title anyone?)  BOS2

"Primary" from the Faith LP

ETA:  pretty good lyrics:

The innocence of sleeping children
Dressed in white
And slowly dreaming
Stops all time
Slow my steps and start to blur
So many years have filled my heart
I never thought I'd say those words

The further we go
And older we grow
The more we know ...
The less we show ...

The very first time I saw your face
I thought of a song
And quickly changed the tune
The very first time I touched your skin
I thought of a story
And rushed to reach the end
Too soon

Oh remember
Please
Don't change

So the fall came
Thirteen years
A shiny ring
And how I could forget your name
The air no longer in my throat
Another perfect lie is choked
But it always feels the same

So they close together
Dressed in red and yellow
Innocent forever
Sleeping children in their blue soft rooms
Still dream

The further we go
And older we grow
The more we know ...

I'm gonna BOS this Moody Blues song because it has that Xanadu feel.  I haven't heard this in ions.

Oh not at all.  I fully agree.  I can't BOS anything after "Stepping In a Slide Zone".  I feel the same about latter day Moodies that I do about latter day Chicago.

Can we make a list of 70's bands that seriously started to suck when they became Pop hitmakers in the 80's?

Chicago
The Moody Blues
Styx
REO Speedwagon
Journey
The Doobie Brothers

...more anyone?

This reminds me of an SNL sketch: "Songs that ruined everything".

I would add Yes and arguably Van Hagar.

seems like Foghead birthdays are making a comeback.  I'll have to see if I can get a shout-out in a couple weeks.

Hoping for something extra good, it is cold, windy & rainy outside.

are you at home? It's sunny in Oakland.

And just like that the sun comes out & the rain clouds push out to the east.

And also Genesis. 70's Prog Rockers had to basically change or disappear from the radio.
