I'll give the Dazz Band a BOS for "Let It Whip".

I always thought this was Kool and the Gang.

The Dazz Band -- I know what that means!

didn't they once call themselves The Duegrass Band?  or was it Dalypso Band?   or the Dock and Doll Band?

is this Hagar?  "Lead me to oh, pin doors!"

I'll even VHM Hagar the Horrible -- one of his more bearable efforts.

Does "Need You Now" sound a little like "Eye In The Sky"?

Lady Antebellum's Grammy-winning "Need You Now" rips off part of the melody of APP's "EITS". And many snarky Tweets ensued.

I'll give the Dazz Band a BOS for "Let It Whip".

BOS2 to those whipper snappers.  WOS to WOT - a novelty that went on way too long.

Just arrived -- and of COURSE I'm BOSing "Wot" for rarity alone, my Captain.  Sorry I missed Falco. BTW, what makes ATF's version "quintessential"? The fact that it's an inferior and unnecessary remake? That makes a lot of movies quntessential these days, then.

That's a tough one to explain (and I'd disagree with the 'crappy' assessment, although for sure the Falco original(s) were better). The general feel of the tune suggests it could only have been successful during that decade (and the early-to-mid part at that). No way the song goes top five in say 1972 or 2004.

Sunday suggested "Don't You Want Me", which is interesting because I think of The Human League as being the quinessential 80's act (even if they did have a couple of minor 90's hits).
Whoa.  TANC...big time!!!

From ye olde 10at10 club glossary  ;) :
Back from Texas just now.  Somebody remind me what TANC means?  I always end up looking it up and I'm too tired to do so now.  Thanks.

You know, it wasn't until the set list was posted that I realized that the first two songs were the first two from last night's post! If she had played "Tainted Love" I'd probably have to sue on some sort of infringement!

AL posted the marathon schedule: "Reverse order with the most recently heard coming earliest...Friday's 1982 set up first, then the St Patrick's Day set followed by 1979, 1973 & Monday's 1988 set airing last"

An interesting week, in that we didn't hit either the '60s OR the '90s. That doesn't happen too often.
