and from Belly to (petroleum) jelly:  WOS Flaming Lips "Vaseline", one of the worst songs I have ever heard in my 55 years on this planet.

Pedantic note: title is "She Don't Use Jelly."

whatevs.  Awful lyric, terrible vocal.

WOS3 4 Non-Talents.  In other words, this is becoming an all-too- typical '90s set.

Least Necessary of Set is a tie between this and the havering (?) Proclaimers.

when they haver it makes me want to heave. Er...

sadly, these were requests.

OMFG!!! uber-BOS the intellect and savoire-fare of Prince's "7". (which peaked at... you guessed it!)

SDUJ is weird, sort of like the band back then, IMO -- although I wasn't familiar with them beyond this song.  They appeared on SNL, believe it or not, and they were pretty freaky.  I enjoyed their live perf on that show b/c their guitarist, a fellow named Ronald, if I recall, went nuts on his guitar.  Beyond that they were just a novelty to me.

A few years later, when I listened to The Soft Bulletin, they had become a different band, and that album is now one of my faves.

Ah, someone's Prince has come!

WTF is this "My Name Is Mud" nonsense?  I'm guessing Primus because of the prominent bass line.  WOS in any case.

Now I like Sting, but this isn't my fave track from... whatever album that was in '93.

Haha!  Line of the day.

WOS2 to Sting with the lite-jazz-pop now being inflicted on us by Michael Buble.

Dang, missed most of the set.  BOS to Gepetto - Belly.

WOS to Proclaimers, 4-Non Blondes, Primus & Sting.  I don't remember '93 being an overall snoozefest, music-wise.  But then again, I don't remember most of the early '90s anyway.   ;)

Oh, and as much as I love Cannonball - another song off of Last Splash would be nice too.

HM to "Cannonball," only decent thing the Breeders did IMO.  They seemed less about music than living like musicians.

BOS1, Prince.

BOS2, Primus.  At least it was interesting.
