I like the Pretenders' version of HYAMLX - the first Very Special Christmas CD is very hard to beat, as Christmas albums go.

I was watching That's Entertainment II last night -- I prefer Judy Garland's version that is included.

indeed -- Madonna notwithstanding.  BOS3 from me -- Chrissie has herself a merry little boytoy.

Bad Foghead poetry is making me see Swellegant's earlier point, however.

I think I saw those two at Beale and Market Streets yesterday.

Yay! urth makes the airwaves. Free plug! Woo Hoo!

It's official: The Annual 10@10 KFOG Xmas Card is one of the cheesiest things on the radio!

:)
damn! missed it! Will have to hear replay.

I think the Pretenders' version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is one of the best.  Perfect mix of song, vocals, and melancholy/sweet guitar tone.

The plug was AL's idea. I did one take, but when I finished she suggested I take a second whack at it and call out the creamery by name. Glad I did--the second one was much more coherent.
Let's get right to it.

Yeah, more than a little self-serving. And what did it have to do with Christmas again?
Let's get right to it.

VHM to Der Bingle and Herr Bowie.

Has AL played Lennon's Happy Xmas (War is Over) in either of the preceding holiday sets?

Here's my annual BOS for Greg Lake...

and here's my annual wish that next year we get to hear the much less over-produced version on ELP's Work II album.

I really like the U2 version off last year's Starbucks Love CD.  Very sparse and pretty.
