I think I've reached saturation point on "Live & Let Die". A moratorium, please.  Oh lord: "Spiders 'n' Snakes" too.

But always a BOS(2) for the Mighty Zep, "Over the Hills & Far Away"

VHM S&C and their diamond, girl.

Only the 'oo can make it rain.

Paul McCartney - Live and Let Die
Jim Stafford - Spiders and Snakes
Led Zeppelin - Over The Hills and Far Away
Seals & Crofts - Diamond Girl
The Who - Love, Reign O'er Me

more Midwest/Canadian gee-tar wankery, of which the Drives's listeners are so fond.

Wed 11/24/10: Planes Trains & Automobiles

some kinda holiday-weekend road trip or something...

Great gawd in heaven you know it's Ides of March, baby.

and we get out of our Vehicle and take the Peace Train to our Pink Cadillac.

back on the train again with "Casey Jones" -- proxy of geoff.

Sorry, Bob -- I don't think Macca's "Jet" is actually about a plane.

Aaaack! WOS "Chevy Van" -- like a picture, it's just layin' there.

and here's an actual Jet (Airliner) from Mr Miller.  I guess Albert Hammond's "Air Disaster" woulda been in poor taste.

Blackfoot's "Train Train" is NTM. Generic late-'70s Southern rock featuring some former Skynyrd guys.  Gary Numan serves as quite a palate-cleanser after that one.

Ides of March - Vehicle
Cat Stevens - Peace Train
Chuck Berry - No Particular Place to Go
Bruce Springsteen - Pink Cadillac
Grateful Dead - Casey Jones
Paul McCartney - Jet
Sammy Johns - Chevy Van
Steve Miller - Jet Airliner
Blackfoot - Train Train
Gary Numan - Cars

Missed the Chuck Berry thanks to a cow orker. BOS.

it's a reference to the movie Planes Trains and Automobiles w Steve Martin and John Candy.  The two characters are each trying to get home for Thanksgiving.  Hilarity and tenderness ensues.
