Airplane, baby!
AL has played this before. So far only one of these songs was a FB request ("Arnold Layne").
I had FB requested a # of the artists played: Hendrix, Floyd, Beatles, Who, Love, Airplane, Doors

I saw that at the SF Film Fest.  It's a nice romp, as they say, but I hear the filmmaker's previous earlier work(s) is/are more significant.

proxy of geoff, the orig "Black Magic Woman"!

"The Supernatural", is what it is, I am pretty sure.  Proxy for Geoff indeed!

Or maybe not, I was only half listening and got interupted -- but that's the impression I had.

I would not have complained if Annalisa had done a Veterans Day set of some sort.  I went to Vets Parade last Sunday, it was raining, but hardly anyone was out there.  It was a little sad.

Calexico did a nice version of "Alone Again Or" a few years ago:

Yes -- I *loved* his first 2 films, Head On and especially Edge of Heaven, one of those overlapping-stories-that-double-back-on-each-other films that is *SO* much better than Crash, Babel, etc it's not even funny.  SK is pretty lightweight compared to those 2.

I would have gone had it not been raining (if I lived in City I would've attended regardless).  Some towns are doing their Vet's Day parades today.
ETA: Just heard on KCBS that SF Vet Day Parade is on again today, started 11am, from 2nd/Market down Market to Civic Center.  http://www.ktvu.com/news/25754197/detail.html

Now I'm tempted to 'suggest' a Veterans Day 10@10. Make me stop!
