Woohoo!  Big BOS for Parliament tearing the roof of the mother, suckah!

One of AL's sumpin' fer everybody sets.  This is a long way from "Coyote," that's for sure.  I personally think "Coyote" shows up a little too often, great though it is.

About 20 yrs ago my brother was AC/DC's waiter at a resort in Phoenix.  He said they were actually quite polite and good tippers!

BOS, the Mighty J Geils Band and "Southside Shuffle".

so we got "Southside Shuffle" but not Southside Johnny. Oh well. She *is* from Boston. Seems like a well-rounded set and not too much obviousness (there were requests for "Play That Funky Music" and Boston's "Foreplay/Long Time" -- kudos on avoiding both).  Methinks the JB was a bustout; Dave rarely played post-'73 James.

11/9/10- Tuesday! Rock, Funk & Reggae in '76

 1.  Boz Scaggs- Jump Street
(TV: Lawrence Welk Show Bicentennial dance)
 2.  James Brown- Get Up Offa That Thing
 3.  KC & The Sunshine Band- I'm Your Boogie Man
(Movie-Mother, Jugs & Speed)
 4.  Robert Palmer- Man Smart (WOMAN SMARTER)
(TV: Wonderwoman!)
 5.  Joni Mitchell- Coyote
 6.  Bob Dylan- Mozambique
 7.  Junior Murvin- Police & Thieves
(News: Bicentennial SF celebration)
 8.  Parliament- Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker) (BOS!!)
 9.  J. Geils Band- Southside Shuffle (live)
(TV: Charlie's Angels)
10. AC/DC- It's a Long Way To The Top (If You Want To Rock & Roll)

Nicely played -- the Boz (talk about a Silk Degress track you NEVER hear) is a bustout, as is the JB... and a bunch of relative rarities too.

I have to WOS that Junior Murvyn tune.  When I worked at Starbucks it was on one of their playlists and it was the most annoying thing ever.

Which, I believe, completes a run for Silk Degrees: every track has appeared in an SF 10@10.
