I'm not a Huey basher, but I always thought this was too Elvis Costello derived.

[Working for a Living, and yes, I know Clover was Elvis' backup band on his first album]

Indeed it was, and that was de rigeur in '82, even if you weren't strictly speaking a "new wave" band.  In this case it balanced the candy-coated Styx impression that was "Do You Believe in Love".

So, have I missed Missing Persons on "Hit My Shit One More Time"? Last time I saw Dale Bozi was on one of those VH1 "What The Fuck?" shows. She was a soccer mom in NJ. Kinda heftier- but she still had that crazy hair! Awesome.

Although I always have trouble wondering if there's a connection in the name to the Music Machine hit of the 60's, I kinda like them.  Nice drum sound.

DYBIL was also an ELO impression; I'm surprised Huey wasn't sued for lifting the arrangement of the verses from "Sweet Talkin' Woman."  Totally similar head.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

So, was Haircut 100 one of the band names from Clockwork Orange, like Heaven 17 was?

Dingdingding! You'll have to leave your tamborine in your desk today Beej. It is indeed Mr. Plant.
Let's get right to it.
