More "Sunny"-ness from the Kinks. Damn that Taxman!
All this sunniness is making me feel groovy.

I still can't hear The 59th St. Bridge Song without thinking of a comedy bit one of the local comics (maybe Bobcat Goldthwaite?) did in the 80s:

"Slow down, you move too fast
Gotta make that cocaine last
Line it up on the cobblestone
It's cut with speed, now you're feelin' uneasy..."
Let's get right to it.

BOS for Walker Bros and San Jose's own Syndicate of Sound!

HM to so much Mama and Papas, S&G, Neil D (who also penned I'm a Believer as we all know).

First set in nearly a week where I didn't get anything from my wish-list. Feels weird.  (Tho' AL said she may play "Strangers in the Night" tomorrow as a "Kiss-Cam" moment. LOL!)

BOS3 the fantabulous "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Any More". Best. Phil Spector. Imitation. EVAH. Proxy of Gaz. And if you've never seen Truly, Madly, Deeply... rent it.
love this song.  Not sure what the connection is, but it makes me think of Jerry Butler.

Whooo!  BOS4 the Ms & Ps, "I Call Your Name" -- proxies of Gaz and Geoff.
True, I love almost everything from their canon, but this one is not that high on my list.  Pretty funny though!

They played at my high school yearbook dance in '68, but had already slid into psychedelic-styled music and costumes.  Definitely not the look of this album.

Both the Walkers and Mr Butler did versions of "Make it Easy on Yourself", iirc.

Indeed.  And true that they were neither Walkers nor brothers.
