Can only hope for some "when they were good" Journey. I don't spend enough time on FB to get requests to AL.
heh, since my first concert was Journey "when they were bad" (1979) I wouldn't mind hearing something from their Steve Perry days. perhaps the double-play awesomeness of "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'" > "City of the Angels"
you must be made to see the evil of your ways, my son.
I saw J-when-they-were-good open for ELO at NYC's Beacon Theater in '77 or so. Wasn't a fan, as they were new, so I don't have much recollection. I think we saw them as rather Santana-ish
ha! yes, I'm fully aware they were lame back then, but what can I do? I thought they were "awesome" and will always have a fondness for them. (of course, you already knew I was beyond hope b/c I like Rush..)
For this set, I hope we do get wtwgJ since it's so rare to hear that played on the radio. But would it be safe to say they'd be almost a forgotten cult band if Steve Perry with his hair products and coke connections hadn't come along?
