The Peak, week of 8/16/10
« on: August 18, 2010, 07:37:46 AM »
Rob's been rather boring this week, but worth noting he also did '87 today: PSBs "It's a Sin" and the Smiths "Girlfriend in a Coma" the standouts amongst much boredom (GD, "Hell in a Bucket") and cheeze (Whitesnake).  But uber-BOS Zevon's "Sentimental Hygiene", which I must add to my AL wish-ist for next time.

Thur 8/19/10: 1965!

some usual suspects (Kinks, BBs, Stones, Beatles, Byrds) but the marvelous Marvelows' "I Do" is a soulful treat and there was actually a bustout called "Bust Out" by the Busters (!) -- surf instrumental rarity that's NTM:

OMFG: Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes are up where they belong!

ETA: uber-BOS Elvis C's "Man Out Of Time", VHMs Joan Jett's "Do You Wanna Touch" and Gary USB, still "Out of Work"
