Here's a My 3 Songs to help spice up this set:

Chuck Proffit "Summertime Thing" (which we just heard)
Neil Young  "Long May You Run"
Dead Milkmen  "Punk Rock Girl"
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

"it's fun time, Mr Sun time..."

One of the pleasures of listening to WLNG on the 'net is their inexhaustible supply of jingles just like that one. Jingle heaven.

ah, the inevitable Cars.

WOS: Martha Motel. Just because a song has the word "summer" in the title don't make it a "summer song", Dave.  Bonus demerits for her performance on HMBOMT...

can't be unhappy when Mungo Jerry is playing but I'm otherwise in a real pissy mood.

Since Mike got the last one so fast, here's another, but a lot more than 3 songs.

Roxette  "The Look"
Queen  "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"
Cure  "Let's Go To Bed"
James Taylor  "Mexico"
Lynyrd Synyrd  "Gimme Three Steps"
Meatloaf  "You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth"
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

plus, it's about LAST summer, so from the POV of the singer it almost certainly ISN'T summer now.

Can you dig it? Yes I can.

and suddenly it's the Summer of '72...

VHM Chicago, sounding good and fueling nostalgia this morning.

No Billy Stewart/Janis either. I couldn't tell if this was a rerun but based on the double backannounce, it seems maybe this was put together special for 2005?
