Wed 8/11/10: 1980

De Do Do Do De Da Da Da - Police
Clampdown - The Clash
Cocaine - Eric Clapton
Skateaway - Dire Straits
Freewill - Rush
Ah! Leah! - Donnie Iris
Snortin' Whiskey - Pat Travers band
Mystery Achievement - Pretenders
Keep On Lovin' You - REO Speedwagon
Love Stinks - J. Geils Band

Well, any set with "Clampdown" and "Love Stinks"  can make me forgive the Rush.  Methinks that PTB track is an ATBB.

Friday, 8/13/10 - No lucky theme , although Tumbin Dice would fit.

Deacon Blues - Steely Dan
Lovely Day - Bill Withers
Tumbling Dice - Linda Ronstadt
Come On, Come On - Cheap Trick
The Angeles (sic) Wanna Wear My Red Shoes - Elvis Costello
You Make Lovin' Fun - Fleetwood Mac
Isn't It Time - The Babys
Movin' Out - Billy Joel
Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton
Headknocker - Foreigner

I think the intern who typed it in is too used to writing "Los Angeles" that they misspelled it here.

the Linda Ronstadt doing The Rolling Stone Ponies is NTM, I think.  I wonder how loud she screams on that one...

Bill Withers A Lovely Day -- how can you hear that one and not feel good?

Tumbling Dice - Linda Ronstadt

I remember seeing her do that live, the year before the LP came out. "My new friend Mick taught me this next one..."  One of her odder choices, and the lyric change is quite a "WTF?":

Mick: Women think I'm tasty/But they're always tryin' to waste me

Linda: People think I'm crazy/Always try to rape me
