I once heard this bass player claim women couldn't play bass.  Had he forgotten about Carol Kaye?  One of her great bass lines.  You can hear the big felt pick!

I first remember hearing Pretty Ballerina when Etienne de Rocher played it at the Cafe Du Nord. (Etienne was singer songwriter who lived in Oakland, and has since relaoceted to South Carolina or somewhere south..)
