RIP Peter Fernandez, 'Speed Racer' animator, 83

Peter Fernandez helped introduce the U.S. to Japanese animation in the 1960s by adapting the series "Speed Racer" for American audiences.  Fernandez, a writer and producer, and the voice of 'Speed Racer' himself, died July 15 of cancer.  He was 83.
