9 July 2010: it's... 1994
« on: July 08, 2010, 08:20:29 PM »
Kinda surprised at no Macca set, but here's hoping for some interesting choices. I'm asking for the Mavericks and Prince; sundaygal went with Weezer's "My Name is Jonas", which leads me to wonder if the Jonas Bros have a song called "My Name is Weezer"  ;)

I guess "Interstate Love Song" was to be expected.  One of their better tunes.

But I'd Rather hear R.E.M.

happy to see someone on FB requested "Here Comes the Hotstepper" which I came close to asking for myself.

Someone here will no doubt be happy to hear the Meat Puppets, but I'm getting bored so far.

WOS Meat Puppets, "Backwater."  I can't fathom what's appealing about this song.

depends -- Stone Temple Pilots, REM and Meat Puppets (and now Blur) have us firmly on the alt-rock tip.

Mebbe so, but I've always enjoyed the piano in this one, along with the sleigh bells.

Alice in Chains gets my BOS.

And my WOS. This set needs some pop, soul or country -- anything but more alt-rock.
