6 July 2010: it's... '70s Chartbusters, buster.
« on: July 06, 2010, 09:45:51 AM »
as usual, I can't access AL's FB page. There were no clues there as of 9:00 last nite.

ETA: Webster just said something about a  "summertime vibe" -- is AL still off? Another rerun?

oh, I see -- '70s chartbusters. The Summers of Your Life!  "Oooh Child" gets an instant BOS1.

BOS3 Bloodstone, takin' to the sky on a natural high.  A real summer-of-'73 flashback for me.

'74: George McRae sings to his sexy mama, Gwen -- it'd be nice if her "Rockin' Chair" is the '75 entry

Biked past AT&T Park on my way to work this AM, and the workers were assembling the stage for Paul McCartneys'' upcoming (Saturday?) concert.  I might just head down there and listen through the fence (I think they'll certainly NOT allow folks on the sidewalk area next to the park) or maybe snag reasonable scalped tix.

another BOS to Macca

ooh, time for a xylophone solo!!!!   Moonlight Feels Right!

Yes, I see that some Paul fans aren't fond of this one.  I diggit, tho.  If you are at that impressionable age, a song can have lasting meaning. One person's pop nugget is another person's overplayed schlock.

talking about umpteenth!    (actually I like Margarita-vile...)
