Just discovered something interesting about this song (the Del Amitri) because I only had one earphone in: Like the old Beatles records, all the instrumental tracks are on the left channel, and the vocals and one acoustic guitar track are on the right.

Thanks for starting the thread Mark--I missed the intro entirely, had no idea what 90s year we were in.

I'd say something from Counting Crows -- was "Round Here" '93 or '94?

Super Hit SIXSIXSIX just might be Bryan Adams / Rod Stewart / Sting, "All for Love."  But I hope I'm wrong.
