Judge doing his usual '80s Monday thang, and I'm especially delighted to hear DeBarge's lovely "Time Will Reveal" -- it's been years.

NTM from JJ: Shorty Long's cover of "Chantilly Lace", which is nowhere near as annoying as the original. Me likey.

'LNG plays a classic Coke commercial with Lulu that was NTM and follows it with her version of "Morning Dew"!

OMGWTF segue on Radio de Sebb: from "A Night in NY" by Elbow Bones & the Racketeers (stylish early-'80s disco, not unlike Odyssey's "Native NY'er" or the Dr Buzzard and Kid Creole stuff) to KISS' "I Was Made For Lovin' You".  lawd have mercy.

NTM on Radio de Sebb: Tamiko Jones doing her best Diana Ross imitation on a cover of Stevie Wonder's "Creepin'". Nice.

also NTM: First Choice with "Guess What Mary Jones Did?", an "Armed & Dangerous" soundalike that isn't on the FC best-of I have.

Holy crap -- Radio Sebb is a treasure-trove today. David Porter (Isaac Hayes' longtime songwriting partner) doing a soulful cover of "Help".

and is there another radio station on the planet that plays Mel Brooks' "It's Good to Be the King" on a regular basis? ooh-la-la! C'est magnifique!

And here's Tina's "Typical Male", a #2 smash that you almost never hear these days.

OTOH, Seal's note-for-note cover of "Fly Like an Eagle" is fairly worthless.
