« on: May 17, 2010, 11:40:30 AM »
Norman Ezell of Lodi, CA, wrote and played guitar on the Five Americans hit "Western Union" (#5, April 1967), making him an instant star.  His group then appeared on such '60s TV shows as "American Bandstand," "Where the Action Is," and "Shindig." They also performed in concerts with The Dave Clark Five, Sonny and Cher, The Everly Brothers, Glen Campbell, The Byrds and Herman's Hermits.  He was 68.
