the only song Duane Allman wrote (or so that used to be the legend)

In any case this was his last recording.
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

It appears Dave's not taking BOS votes today, at least not via YIM. He's not signed on.

ETA: The Mick Ronson track followed Little Martha.
Let's get right to it.

keep copious notes, kids... I'm off to an extremely boring meeting (like there's any other kind!).

For the record, the first song was the original version of a song that appeared in an ad campaign in the last year or so--and it's been in a 10@10 set, but I can't recall the name--it goes "Ooh hoo, oooh hoo hooo" ad nauseam.

2nd song was Fire on High.

Third song is--my gawd, the Dixie Dregs, with Geoff's pal Andy West on bass. These guys were monsters! Is this Cruise Control, Geoff?

I wasn't listening that close.  Andy is a close friend, but I've never been a Dregs fan that much.  When he used to play at our booth at the NAMM show (musical instrument trade show), fans would come up and shout "Cruise Control" at him!

Thanks for the id -- my first BOS.   The guitar player is channeling JB.

Steve Morse is such an ascended master, I doubt he needs to channel Jeff Beck, but he's also a real nice guy, so maybe he was!

He certainly sounded like Beck there, is all, circa Blow by Blow, Wired.

Booker T's Hang 'em High followed Slaughter, and then Madison Time.
Let's get right to it.

I would certainly suggest you see Steve Morse if you get the chance; I think you'd like him.

BOS "Birdland"

Jaco is God.

Second virtuoso bassist of set: Jaco.

Trivia: what do Steve Morse and Jaco Pastorius have in common (as well as several other members of the Dregs, I believe)? Also Pat Metheny.
Let's get right to it.
