BOS2 the Nazz, "Open My Eyes."  Another that used to be in heavy rotation on MTV's Closet Classics, but which I have never heard on radio outside of 10@10.

For a really noisy song, you have to admire the production, even then.

Ditto for "Voodoo Chile".  Just an awesome set with a little of everything.

I think that album cover has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world.

ROTFL. Well, he *was* married to Peggy Lee. But she said "is that all there is?"  And if ya don't know the famous rumors about Mr Webb, I'll happily expound.

By the by, have the rest of you heard Jack Webb's cover of "Try a Little Tenderness"?  I have it on the first Golden Throats comp.

Oh my.  Did someone Jack Webb?

The rumor (I got this from Alex Bennett years ago, no idea if it's ever been confirmed) was that Mr Webb liked boys -- very young boys. And that due to his Dragnet fame he was beloved by the LAPD, who covered up for him and made certain things disappear. The Jack Vincennes character in LA Confidential (played by Kevin Spacey in the movie) was supposedly inspired by this.
