I noticed him recently in those reverse mortgage ads; he seemed pretty old to me at the time, but 83 isn't necessarily old these days.

According to this obit, he was found dead Sunday afternoon in front of his Pacific Palisades home from apparent natural causes.  He had just returned from brunch with his family to celebrate his upcoming 84th birthday this week and collapsed on the driveway before he could reach his house, said his publicist. One of Graves' daughters administered CPR but was unable to revive him.
