I'd love it if AL played something from the Monkees' film Head.  It's Micky Dolenz's birthday today.

But a more realistic to Thomas singing Bacharach.  Hard to believe this song was originally pitched to Dylan.

well, he was in his Nashille mode in '69.  And he apparently offered "Lay Lady Lay" to the producers of Midnight Cowboy.

It's worth seeing as a time-capsule of NYC in 1969 (and it won Best Pic; the only X- or- NC17-rated film to do so)
