Happy Birthday Boy, Mark!

You gotta love a song with both a kazoo solo AND a gargling solo.

Dave, remember that funny anecdote Leo Kottke told about Country Dick?

BOS to Love Vigilantes.  Annalisa keeps on busting out more New Order!

VHM's so far to Charlie Sexton, the Beat Farmers.

and BOS2 to Kate Bush!  Kind of a 'trina...but still always welcome to hear this song.

I'll give BOS to Kate Bush, even though "Running Up That Hill" is a frequent flyer.  Hounds of Love is just an awesome album.

There's your Oscar Tie-in -- Chevy Chase in Fletch!

I actually watched it the other day.  Big time Beverly Hill Cop rip-off.  Kinda funny.
I think Fletch is hilarious.  I don't see it as a BHC rip-off at all.  Ya gotta like Chevy Chase to enjoy it, that's for sure. A lot.  Of course, the love interest is plenty hot too.

The thing that really kept reminding me of BHC was the synth-laden soundtrack, which, to my ears, worked better in BHC.  Also, the mansion that is the scene of the climax of BHC shows up in the climax of Fletch!  I swear it's the same mansion.
