I just wonder about programming not wanting to duplicate things or prevent overkill -- "no, AL, you can't do an Oscar-themed 10@10 because the Morning Show is doing 4 hours of movie-related Request-O-Rama".  When Dave hosted both shows the dynamic was a bit different.

Since moving to OR I snicker whenever I hear that line about Philomath in "Can't Get There From Here." I don't think Stipe was singing about the one near Corvallis:

You may be right--the backing track sounded decidedly un-Gilmourian. Guess we'll have to wait for the backsell to find out.
