This is the third appearance for Fox on the Run (per the DB) and its third different year--previously it showed up in 75 and 76, once each. However '74 is the year it was released, so I'm not sure how DM got away with spinning it in those other years.

actually it's a late '75/early '76 charter as a single-- so AL's in error.

But the year of release is valid too, so as I added above, it looks like Fox on The Run is legal in 74, 75 and 76.
Let's get right to it.

tho' you'd be hard-pressed to find a radio station that played it as an LP cut in '74 ;)

WOS Mr Chapin at his middlebrow-sentimental worst. So many other wonderful songs of his that failed to be hits.

wow, the usual TOTHK from Sweet Lou becomes a set-closer.  Very entertaining collection, considering there were no bustouts.

I love the Clinton Auto Body Shop ad that always airs before or after the set: "In a perfect world, car accident claims would be handled smoothly."  There would be car accidents in a perfect world?

The Mighty 'berries, bridging the AM/FM divide. Nonoffensive-but-satiric BOS1, naturally.
What FM stations played them?  Not out here.

BOS2 Phillippe Petit -- if you have not seen last year's Oscar-winning docu about his feat (Man on Wire), rent it immediately.

BOS3/proxy of geoff FMac "Heroes are hard to Find".

thanks for thinking of me!  Great album.  Great tour, just after the phony Fleetwood Mac tour.

no Mars Hotel, but some great tastes of 1974 nonetheless.

NYC's prog rock powerhouse WNEW-FM was ALL about the 'berries.
