OMGWFTLOL! "Life & Death in G & A", by Abaco Dream -- a Sly Stone compo & production (rumor was that it really *is* Sly under an alias) . Haven't heard this in ages. Got some NY airplay in '69 and I never understood why it wasn't a hit.

Happy Birthday Sonny Bono -- he'd've been 75 today.  'LNG plays his only solo hit, "Laugh At Me".

Treat-of-the-Day 2: Electric Indian's "Keem-O-Sabe". The intro is quite similar to "Tusk", which I thought it was for a sec.

NTM: an earlier version of "Candida" by The Corporation (apparently not the Motown producing team of the same name) which Tony O heard and took to Bell records, who liked the song but not the vocals and suggested he re-record it himself. And the rest, as they say...

Listening to Little Steven's Valentine show -- Part 1 of a 3-part epic this year. Always one of his best.

a fab '60s twin-spin: the GrassRoots' forgotten "Where Were You When I Needed You?" followed by Kenny & the Edition, droppin' in and droppin' acid.

OMFG: France Joli's "Come To Me", one of the great Donna Summer imitations. hard to believe she was 16 when she recorded this.
