I adore this song.  Northern Soul supreme.

On the Radio de Sebb covers show: Yo La Tengo doing William DeVaughn.  Be thankful indeed.

OMFG: Paul Anka's "swingin'" version of VH's "Jump" -- kinda works, actually; seems less campy than the Pat Boone metal covers.

Treat of the day: Big Daddy's hilarious, Frankie Avalon-esque cover of "Like A Virgin". These guys were really clever, and outside of Doctor Demento fans, few know their work.

And now we get The Sisters Love and Curtis Mayfield each doing Curtis' "Give Me Your Love", from Superfly.

Perhaps my all-time-favorite "shoulda-been": Peter Sarstedt, "Where Do You Go To My Lovely?", on Offshore.

OMGWTFLOL-of-the-Week: Free Design's "Kites are Fun" -- an oddball choice, even for Offshore. And it's followed by Sandy Posey's "Single Girl".

NTM: Amen Corner covering the Move's "Hello Susie"

A few years ago I bought an Amen Corner anthology b/c I adored "If Paradise Is Half as Nice."  Nothing else was really worth checking out.

Barry Scott celebrates V-Day with the Platters' glorious Four Tops knockoff "With This Ring."  A principal entry in my theoretical-someday-wedding mix.
