THeads Love For Sale, from True Stories.

Off to a good start.

As always, hoping AL does more with this year than Dave generally did.
Let's get right to it.

Prince definitely says "1986" to me. Not a bustout (nor was the THeads), but good selections both.

Evander Holyfield might have something to say about that.

10@10's what you make it, AL -- and a bustout or 2 would really make this set. Some pop would go down nicely -- Jermaine Stewart, perhaps?

Well, now we're venturing into serious Katrina territory--this one at one point had a K rating of nearly 30%.

ETA: Referring to the Talk Talk song, although WCTBL (Van Hagar) is a pretty big K, too.

VHM Alex P. Keaton.  This is the longest TV clip AL's played in a while -- her snippets are usually pretty short.

WOS Van Hagar.

I presume you mean Talk Talk -- might want to be a little more specific.  Still a great song.  And a far sight better than the crappy Van Hagar joint "Why Can't This Be Love".  I hate that line: "only time will tell if we stand the test of time."  Terrible.

Yes, I was referring about Life Is What You Make It. Mea culpa.

And no, Sammy is no Hemingway when it comes to turning a phrase.

uber-BOS4 Dramarama! A song I discovered on KROQ when on vacay in LA -- It was ignored by NY alt-rock radio for some reason.

There's your bustout, along with Iggy's Cry For Love, which is kinda tame compared to what we've come to expect from him.

ETA: The Dramarama was nearly an artist bustout, were it not for one appearance of Earth Day in a set for, umm, Earth Day. Go figure.
