This judge agrees.  1970 is a great year!  And while "Bell Bottom Blues" doesn't cook, it's still a fine start.

the bio for Hendrix mentions his loud voice, his Elvis-like gyrations, barely mentions his guitar, just saying he "got a gig as a backup guitarist."

Misstates his age as 28.  He was 27, no?  Just like Jim Morrison, Janis, Kurt Cobain..

ah, the mass media!

I asked Bobby Dylan, I asked the Beatles...but they can't explain these excruciating times getting page loads, so I think I'll worry about some other stuff.  Listening & enjoying!  BOS to everything so far.

p.s. I start the new job on Monday, so no idea what my 10:00 hour is going to look like yet.

Ditto that.  I haven't heard that live version of "Them Changes".  It seems somehow less inspired than the studio version.  Many years ago I saw Santana at Snoreline with Buddy on drums.  They did "Them Changes", and it was very good.  Much better than this version.

BOS Kinks, of course. and proxy of Urth.

Question: Do you guys think Apeman has any racist sentiments in any way?  Would it be written today?  It never occurred to me until I just recently read some internet rant about it.
