Easy BOS for me--Kinks, I Need You. Incredibly catchy chorus, and another of their patented syncopated guitar riffs, sort of All Day And All of the Night turned on its side.

"Hang on Sloopy" always makes me think of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry gets all cutesy with his new gf and they call each other "Schmoopy."
