i was wondering what that movie clip was. Wings Of Desire - I recall liking the movie, but I think it might seem dated and pretentious if I saw it again.


still better than the Nic Cage/Meg Ryan remake/"reimagining" called City of Angels. Nic is no Bruno Ganz.

I recall Udo Kier was in that, too, right?  That dude has some blue eyes, boy howdee.

It was common for rap-song collabs 1987-91 to have both rap and rap-free versions, since some adult pop stations outright banned rap.  I remember that happening with Maxi Priest's #1 hit "Close to You."

I didn't figure out until last nite (!) that Father Maxi on South Park is a play on Maxi Priest. Duh!

cow-orker saw Echo & TB in November when they played the Ocean Rain album at the Fox Theater.  Of course they played this, their biggest hit, as part of the second set.  I saw them on their Flowers tour. I only wish I was more into them waaaay back in the day, their songs are fabu...
