4 January 2010: it's...1975
« on: January 04, 2010, 09:58:13 AM »
Guessing it's a latter-70s set today, for no particular reason.

ETA: OK, not early, not latter, we're right in the middle. And PPL is wondering about Amie's intentions.

Happy New Year all! 1975

I may have missed it, but did Annalisa eschew playing "Falling In and Out of Love" before "Amie"?

I have a cousin named Amie, btw.

I don't have a cousin named Jackie Blue, but VHM's for both.

She in fact did eschew FIAOOL--went straight into the flat-pickin' guitar intro of Amie.

Followed by Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Jackie Blue. For some reason I closely associate those two songs, and not just because Dave tended to play both of them somewhat regularly.
Let's get right to it.

BOS for the Stepford Wives.  That movie still creeps me out.  "I thought we were friends..."

And the funk just keeps on comin:

EWF, Shinin' Star straight into Barry White, "You're the First, the Last, My Everything."

AL musta got a whole bunch of soul records in her stocking this year!

ETA: Not quite a bustout, but only one previous appearance in the DB, not quite five years ago.
