I always thought this Bing Crosby/David Bowie duo was silly.  I guess even I can be a humbug now and then.

Now the original I Believe in Father Christmas

[Is it just Greg Lake?]

The original (which this was) is billed as Greg Lake. ELP re-did it, iirc, with a different ending.

"Mr. Gay San Francisco"??  I don't remember him ever calling during the Dave years ;)  I'm guessing this will be 10 tried-and-true "Xmas classics", not that I'm complaining.

Yes, there's a stripped down version on ELP's Works II album, which I actually prefer.

I dunno. Since I ended my bit saying we'd have cheese for everyone in 2010, I think this is an apropos follow-up. ;)

ETA: Der Bingle and Das Bowie got nothing on Hootie when it comes to cheeze.
Let's get right to it.

It's Hootie, and I actually like it a lot -- nicely arranged and played, whatever you think of Mr. Rucker.

Did I miss anyone? I had a list to work from, but knowing me, I probably spaced out on someone.

ETA: Who's this singing about Christmas By the Bay?

I excitedly pointed to the speakers, and told my daughter "this is for our club!"

This SF Xmas by the Bay thing is NTM. Nice. There's a song called "Xmas in San Francisco" by Barry DeVorzon (yes, he of "Nadia's Theme") that KFRC used to play every year in their oldies days that was also quite lovely.

I'm not counting, but it will probably be over soon, too soon.

Feliz Navidad by Los Lonely Boys?

Agree, very sweet. VHM to the last caller for mentioning bringing the boys home, too.

Fewer greetings this year. Of course, we only had a day or two to call in our greetings--Dave used to do it for like a week.

Yep--sounds like it was channeled thru Los Lobos and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
